Get Your Certificate for 2024

To remain eligible to offer Title IV Aid, institutions must remain administratively responsible and financially capable. In the spirit of partnership with all the Private Career Colleges and Schools in the USA, we have agreed that there is a need for a basic and advanced financial aid training for private career school personnel. Many school owners may not fully realize the impact in their schools that the administration of Title IV Aid has on the value of their company. We offer this training, education and a place to interchange ideas at locations throughout the United States.

Normally we include with our conferences a certificate that most people take and add to their records.  This year if you attend our meetings on-line you still will be able to get your Certificate of completion for your records.

Chris DeLuca with DL Training Solutions LLC will present this three-hour online webinar for training with respect to these important laws and regulations. The U.S. Department of Education’s guidance under Title IX and the Clery Act continues to evolve. All Title IV institutions are required to have policies in place designed to reduce incidents of sexual harassment, and to investigate and adjudicate formal complaints of sexual harassment, including sexual misconduct. If you came to Dallas you could win!  Details at the bottom of this article!

I wanted to thank all of you for attending the Dallas 2023 Financial Aid Conference! Dallas was a wonderful place for a meeting if you can only have one meeting a year! The other two places (Philly and Chicago) were not fully open or had restrictions on meetings when we were trying to set up our usual meetings in December of last year, so Dallas was the place. It worked out well, the hotel was great, the speakers were outstanding, and airfare for most was cheap due to Southwest Airlines having their hub at Love Field which was also right outside the door of the hotel.

We had a good crowd with around 60 school people in attendance and all were decision makers in their schools. We had people from as far away as California, West Virginia, and Porto Rico and of course from all over the Midwest and South. Thank you all for your dedicated support and kind words after the meeting.

We are in the process of planning 2024 now and it looks like we will have our usual 3 meetings in Dallas, Philly, and Dallas as before. I would like to have you input into what subjects you would like covered so please take time to answer our survey questions when we mail them out.

We would also like to have your input into next year’s meetings. If you would like to help, we are planning to have several opportunities for schools to participate in the planning of next year’s meeting. We would like to have regional school people help in this process and we be contacting several of you to help. Of course, if you would like to jump in help, please contact Terry Hopkins at your convenience.

I would like to thank all our speakers and sponsors for their help in this meeting. We all owe them a big thank you for stepping up, taking time out of their busy schedules, and doing a fantastic job at this meeting! I know we all appreciated your help and the knowledge you shared with us.

If you need your certificates of attendance or PowerPoint copies of any of the presentations, please email me at alohaterry@tampabay.rr.com and I will get yours at once!

So… about that FREE bring a Friend BOGO offer?

It is simple…just send me the names of All the people at are in Gregory Phoude’s presentation and you will receive a FREE admission to 2024 Regions meetings with your paid admissions a BOGO! ( or Buy One , Get One offer.)

Send you answers to me at alohaterrytampabay.rr.com and I will draw from ALL the correct answers on June 19th of 2023 the winner!  Then that lucky and knowledgeable person will get to bring a person to next year’s meeting FREE with their paid admission!

What a deal…    Alright ready GO!

To all who put on the conference, Thanks!

To all who put on the conference, Thanks!

I would like to thank first off, our sponsors that chipped in and make this all possible.   Alverez & Mendoza, PA  and Dave Mesko and Case / Sabatini, plus a big thank you to David Canaski for supplying the folders for the conference. Without this help the conference would not have happened.

To all our presenters, the Dallas Financial Aid Conference 2023 was an enormous success! I got words of praise from everyone at the meeting and after in the emails, people praised you for your presentations and the knowledge you shared with the group, this was even more than last year.

I am very grateful for all the time and money you all contributed to this adventure and truly thankful for it.  I know people in our audience were very appreciative of what was presented.

Plans for next year…

  • Try to line up sponsors and get commitments for all three meetings in 2024. (Dallas, Philadelphia, and Chicago) I will need your help on this.
  • Get all our programs lined up, with help from each local regional school. I do plan to get school people involved in the planning and participation of each meeting. Having the BOD of each region do something and take their suggestions to improve our meetings. Each region might be a little different and that is fine, if the schools in the region want that.
  • Have the dates, times and places set by October of 2024 so that all of vendors and sponsors can have time to work our meetings in to their coming year’s 2024 budget.
  • Continue with Constant Contact and beef up our LinkedIn and Facebook accounts with white papers and school related items of interest.
  • Continue the personal phone calls (Terry) to schools and vendors in the coming months. If there are people that I should call please let me know, sponsors or schools!

Thanks again for all the effort, plane rides and work you put into this conference!

Sincerely,

Terry Hopkins
